These are various quick illustrations I did based on prompts during the month of October 2017 for the Inktober project in which many illustrators participate every year. These were done in Manga Studio using Astro Pad and an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil.

I was asked to draw up a fun map for wedding guests. The map had to show in broad strokes the way to get to the wedding location in 29 Palms using some landmarks along the way.
This is what I came up with, using simple, hand-drawn icons to demonstrate some popular landmarks in the California desert.
This was before I knew that the “tree” in Joshua Tree referred more to a yucca, but I think I got the point across!
